Discoveryopt 1x8

Scope is clear, objective works good. But at night on the light up reticle still has a flare around it. Have other people look at it still the same not as bad the other one. Maybe due to the adjustable objective. The discovery opt 1x6 does not have it.It is not adjustable adjective Otherwise tracks good great scope for the money. Haven't mounted on a 6.5 Grendel for hog hunting Would be perfect if not for the flare around the reticle On settings above Four-power.

Hard to find features and function for an optic in this Price range

This optic has almost all the bells and whistles you could want in a LPVO and it’s a ridiculously low price. It feels very high quality, has great clarity for an optic in the $200 price range . Tactile clicks on the turrets and First Focal Plane use to only be available on scopes starting at $700-$800 just a few years ago.It has an illuminated reticle ( it could be brighter IMO)Comes with a sun shade and flash kill ( they can not be used at the same time)It’s on the larger size of the scale compared to other LPVOs .The clarity is very good and the adjustable parallax lets you adjust your focus to close up objects even on the x8 power .I would say the glass in this scope is on pair with the lense technology from an $800-$1000 scope from5-6 years ago .Is it perfect? I would say no but it gives you alot for your money compared to other options on the market. The illumination is not daylight bright on the higher magnifications but it’s like using a red dot optic when on 1x power .If your looking for an interesting scope with great features at an entry level red dot price this is a great choice but if your use to using high end glass this may not be the optic for you.

Great scope!

Clear lens, great eye relief, best budget lpvo. Comes with scope rings and pretty much everything you need to use right out the box! Though I bought cantilever scope mount to use with ar platform. Illumination is really good. It feels sturdy and high quality. I have a sig sauer lpvo 1-6 and it's on par with build and quality. I would definitely recommend buying this lpvo!

Impressive Scope

I have a lot to learn about scopes, but this is very nice. The scope definitely is made well and the reticle and lenses are very crisp. You get six levels of illumination on the center reticle dot. The illumination is somewhat minimalistic, illuminating only the center circlular arch, which presumibly is to prevent distractions from the overall view. The only thing I noticed was that when zoomed in, the red arch has a bit of an outer glow "ghosting" to it that some might find excessive. One strong point is the magnification. The maginfication dial is really impressive. You can really zoom in on objects with the dial. What may not be obvious is that the "Christmas tree reticle" is zoom based. So when zoomed out it is smaller and almost unrecognizable, but when zoomed in you can see the tree well. This is a pretty nice all-business scope with all the right adjustments that lock in firmly.
