This mount is well made and quite lightweight. The mount design is allows for quick attachment and detachment. The mount comes with extra screws and the machined parts are clean and accurate. This mount provides a more secure option for your scope than standard individual scope rings for about the same price as quality pair. Be sure to measure your scope so that you know it will fit properly with the set distance of the mounting points as one of my cheaper scopes, which I intended to use this mount with, has too short of a distance to use it...what a bummer but it's my fault. Through the pictures you can get a basic idea of the quality. The mount uses torx fasteners making them easy to safely tighten. If this mount fits your scope and guns mounting parameters you cannot go wrong with the purchase at such a low price entry point.
This thing is awesome and very good quality. The rings have alignment studs which is good for those with shaky hands. The quality is awesome for the price and I look forward to trying more from this company. Top notch for little money. Get these and you will be pleasantly surprised.
There is pretty much no such thing as a HIGH profile 34mm mount with THREE solid recoil lugs under SIX ounces. Yet, here we are. And it has indexing studs in the tube mounts. Yes, that is correct. The fasteners are all 1st rate, the finish is flawless. I have a set of their 30mm straight rings and it is the same gig: massive over-delivery. That is my review: I am very impressed by what they do.Doing this review led me to shop their scopes. If this is how they are doing things, count me in. A++ all day.
A rifle doesn't always need a multi-hundred-dollar mount to be functional. Some are built just for fun, some have tight budgets. Some simply won't be fired much and remain in the back of the safe. This is when value oriented mounts come in. Still, you don't want a piece of junk and rightfully expect a decent level of service. These are all needs the DISCOVERYOPT Rigid Precision Scope Mount fills easily. I've used low quality, inexpensive mounts in the past and this isn't one of them. The machining feels more expensive than it ought to at this price. Anodizing is pretty good but not excellent and cost a half-star in my review. It looks plenty tacti-cool to my eyes as well.I like my optics higher up so I chose 1.93" mounting height. It's nice to see this option available in a budget mount. That doesn't happen often. It locked up securely to my rail. In my opinion, with lower priced mounts, stick with solid mounting and not quick release. It also clamped on my scope very well. I did pop the caps back off and saw some light scarring lines on the tube but not too bad. I've seen worse from mounts costing much more but I charged another half-star in the rating.I believe this is a fine mount in the price range and that you'll receive a unit better than what you paid for it.
Wow, DISCOVERYOPT folks keep impressing me more and more. I own several DISCOVERYOPT scopes and scope mounts, and I really like their design and build quality. So far, I did not have a single issue with their products. So, I was expecting the same quality level from this scope mount, and it did not disappoint me. It is perfect for mounting telescopic optics onto flattop style AR-15 rifles. The 2-inch offset of this cantilever mount positions the scope in a forward location, supporting correct eye relief and head placement. The mount positions the center of the rifle scope tube at a height of 1.93 inches (49 mm) from the base. I would also like to point out that it has a very low profile, its base to bottom of ring height is only 1.26 inches (32 mm). I would like to specially note that this is one of the lowest profile 34 mm single-piece scope mounts I have ever seen so far. I always mount my scopes as low as possible to get closer to the barrel. This scope mount is perfect for mid-range 3-9x scopes that do not have a large scope objective. Also, I really like how they did all the cutouts in the base and rings to lower the overall weight without compromising the integrity of the mount. It's not as heavy as other cantilever mounts, I have, weighing only 166 grams, but looks and feels rock-solid. The overall build quality is excellent, it's on par if not better than Vortex, Burris, Bushnell, etc. products' quality in my opinion and at a fraction of the cost. I can't believe it's priced at less than 22 bucks! I didn't have any alignment issues with the rings, and I did not need to lap the rings thanks to precision machining, index pins, and single-piece solid design of them. Though, I still expect that some people, being very particular about the scope fit, are still going to lap it a bit, which is totally unnecessary but not going to hurt either. The base of the mount uses 3 screws to securely clamp to a Picatinny rail and has 3 recoil stops to guarantee zero hold. The only feature that I'm missing in the scope rings setup is a quick release mount. Another point for concern is that it's machined from lower-grade 6061 aluminum, but this is a very solid and stable scope platform, and for the cost you can't go wrong.Pro-tip: Just make sure not to over-tighten the scope rings' screws when setting up your scope, and always use a torque limiting screwdriver with torque set below 25 in-lb. I personally prefer 20 in-lb, and it always holds up just fine. The mount also has the torque specs and screw tightening pattern printed on the scope rings for your convenience, though I think it's not necessary.Bottom line:Yes, I definitely recommend this rock-solid DISCOVERYOPT scope mount. Its single-piece 2" offset design is perfect for mounting scope on flattop style AR-15 rifles. It's quite lightweight and low profile, allowing you to mount a scope at 32 mm height. Its build quality is superb and on par with top brand names like Vortex, Burris, Bushnell, etc. The only thing I'm missing is the QD mount. But for the price of this scope mount, I'm not complaining at all. Solid 5 stars.Pros:1. Single-piece design.2. Precisely machined, no lapping needed.3. Low profile, only 49 mm from the base.4. Extremely lightweight, only 166 grams.5. Matte, non-reflective mil-spec finish.6. Perfect for flattop style AR-15 rifles.7. Perfect for mid-range scope mounting.8. Scope rings have index pins.9. Rail mount uses 3 large screws for secure attachment.10. Rail mount has 3 recoil stops to prevent movement.Cons:1. Non-QD Picatinny mount.2. Crafted from lower-grade 6061 aluminum.
